Where do I begin lol. Karen found out about us through one of her best friends and fellow bridesmaids Tina (who we did Vanessa’s Sweet 16 for). We our almost our entire 2013-14 portfolio to Tina who introduced us to Sharon and Anna and did there daugthers Taylor and Daniella’s Sweet 16’s. She was also the initial contact for Christine who we did Frankie’s Sweet 16 and Monica who we did Gianna’s Sweet 16. I could keep going as Sharon and Anna work at the Barnyard & Carriage House in Totowa, NJ and they referred us to do Ethan’s Bar Mitzvah, Zachary’s Bar Mitzvah and Francine’s 14th Birthday. That’s ALOT of events……we must be doing something right 🙂
Ok so back to Karen & John who wanted to work with me before they even had their venue set lol. I was excited when they told it was at The Venetian in Garfield, NJ as The Venetian is one of the most beautiful venues in all of New Jersey. Large chandeliers, extravegant staircases and the ceilings look like a church. Granted the high-ceilings are a challenge for proper exposure but the even bigger challenge is not having Karen & John become an afterthought when posing lol.
We arranged for a nice First Look for them to do before the ceremony and took bridal party photos right after, in front of the outside fountain. The weather was perfect for being October lol. The ceremony took place upstairs and included a candle-lighting.
The cocktail hour allowed us to do some more posed shots and then some candid. The highlight was the Ice Luge 🙂 check out our online gallery for photos of it.
The reception started with a first dance in a sea of smoke which was amazing. Half way through the ceremony, Karen & John had a surprise for everyone……..David Torres of Nice & Wild fame (from the 80’s) came out to sing Karen’s favorite song “Diamond Girl”. The night finished off with the reason for booking The Venetian in the first place…..their insane venetian hour with the fire introduction .
